An Eid excuse letter for work is a brief note submitted by an employee to formally request time off to observe and celebrate the Eid holiday. The following are a couple of samples you can use to draft a letter to your boss for the upcoming Eid holidays.

#1

I am writing to formally request that you kindly grant me two days of leave on March 15th and 16th in observance of Eid-ul-Adha. It is an important religious festival for me and I would like to be excused from work on the mentioned dates.

Since there are no official Eid holidays in Australia, I request your special consideration. It would be greatly appreciated if you could extend your support in accommodating employees from different religious and cultural backgrounds during their respective festivals and holidays.

Kindly approve my leave request. I assure you that I will make up for the missed work promptly upon returning to the office on March 17th.

Looking forward to your cooperation.

I want to inform you that the XYZ project will be temporarily paused from [start date] to [end date] due to the Eid holidays. Since all departments will be closed during this period, no project-related activities will be conducted.

Our team has ensured that all important tasks are scheduled appropriately in advance of the Eid holidays. However, we must be prepared for possible delays due to the disruption in work during the holiday period. Please communicate this to the clients and keep them informed.

We will resume the project as soon as all employees return for work after Eid. I will provide an update on the progress and remaining tasks once we return to work.

Thank you for your support and cooperation.

Re. Eid Excuse Letter

Dear [name], I am writing this letter to inform you about the upcoming religious event for Muslims. The event is called Eid-ul-Fitr, which every Muslim celebrates to celebrate the successful ending of the holy month of Ramadan. Muslims fast for thirty days during Ramadan and celebrate the Eid festival, during which they feast and dine with their relatives and friends.

Whereof, the expected date of Eid-ul-Fitr is [date]. Muslim workers from the office can take three days off from work, i.e., from [date] to [date].

The rest of the employees shall keep on working in the office according to the prior timetable. All employees are encouraged to go the extra mile to complete assignments and meet deadlines. It is due to the Muslim workers who shall remain off from office from the mentioned dates.

Those who wish to claim leave from work due to the religious event of Eid are required to submit their applications to Human Resources before [date] and hand over important assignments and projects to their teammates.

According to the letter of prayer call from the [name] Islamic Center Organization of [city], Eid prayers will be offered from [time] to [time] on [date].

Thank you.

Best wishes
